The big Apple recognize gay marriages celebrated in other states

The governor of New York, David A. Paterson, has called on governments around the state starting to revise its policies so that social links homosexuals in other states where such unions are valid, like California or Massachusetts, will receive the same legal treatment as any other kind of marriage, as reported by The New York Times.

Paterson described this decision as "a decisive step toward equal marriage."

So far, California and Massachusetts are the only states in which the links are legal homosexuals, and others, like Vermont and New Jersey, allow civil unions. By contrast, 41 states keep laws that limit marriage to unions between a man and a woman./div>

Anyway, is a major breakthrough in one day gay marriages will be recognized in all states.
